Welcome to my website, I hope you enjoy my work. I am a freelance artist based in Dumfries, South West Scotland working mainly in Acrlylic, watercolour and pen/ink. I have a great love of the colourist/ impressionist approach to art attempting to convey texture light and interesting colour combinations across a range of subject matter.
Influences, there are too many but to name a few I would include Claude Monet, Vincent Van Gogh and more recently John Bellamy and John Lowrie Morrison.
My current work is on display at The Anchor Pub in Kippford, Dumfries and Galloway. I regularly show work in The Old School, Brooke Street in Dumfries.
I tend to paint reasonable quickly normally producing an acrylic landscape of 60cm x 40cm in about 8hours give or take!
I always work in Acrylic due to my lack of patience needing the paint to dry quickly.
